Thursday, the 12th of September, 2024. R U OK Day. Another year has rolled around. I’m starting to wonder if every year, every R U OK Day, I am a little more cynical than the last. In saying that, though, this is probably since I lost my friend to suicide late 2022. I didn’t get … Read More

R U OK?
“Are you okay?” The words are being thrown around left, right, and centre today. The school children are wearing yellow. Businesses send out emails to their employees. Supermarket and retail employees sport their yellow wristbands. If only people took it seriously every day, instead of just one day a year…
‘Australia Day’, or ‘Invasion Day’?
Australia Day, the 26th of January, is a controversial date but the reason behind the celebration isn’t what a lot of people think. There is so much to unpack here, so I hope you will take the time to read this.
Some Thoughts on Grief
Some of us are dealing okay, but some of us aren’t. I guess that’s the same everywhere, right? Some of us heal faster. Some of us heal slowly and gradually. I feel as though some of the things that went down between us through our friendship, especially towards the end, are something that I need to speak up about. We … Read More
Me, on feeling okay.
Hey lovely people. This is a bit of a story and a few of my thoughts, straight from the heart. My thoughts and feelings on recovery, and how I am going with feeling okay. Sometimes the craziness of life gets the better of us, and we get very quickly overwhelmed, especially if how we feel … Read More
Feelings: What to do when they hit you
Feelings. They creep up on us out of nowhere, confuse us, bring us joy, and even pain. But what do you do when they hit you like a tonne of bricks? When you’re overwhelmed by this perhaps foreign concept, these things called feelings? A lot of us struggle when we begin to have different feelings, … Read More
